HUROTICS Wearable Robotics Internship

This past summer, I interned at HUROTICS Inc. in Seoul, South Korea, a startup building cable-driven hip exosuits for gait assistance. I designed and built a dynamic mannequin test jig for end-of-line validation, handling motor sizing, wiring, and MuJoCo-based control, and explored reinforcement-learning-based exosuit control using open-source musculoskeletal simulation frameworks (SCONE, DEP-RL) for sim-to-real transfer. I also worked on vision-augmented gait-phase classification, fusing camera input with existing IMU/load-cell sensing to better estimate terrain and locomotion intent for adaptive assistance.
